Duria Crystal, was established on the market as a competing brand of Peill-Putzler, is a registered trademark which has been with discontinuity on the market for over 40 years.

3 years ago, the idea was born to found the firm Duria Crystal Limited Company. By using Duria Crystal as a brand we want to keep the German glass tradition alive and to provide the know-how to all companies requiring glass supply and competent advice concerning questions related to glass and its making.

Harry Hambloch and Gert Heider, among the founder members of the firm, are today its owner. Both can look back on experiences in the trade for more than a decade and take an active part in the practical realisation of their business idea. Considering their background and experience, this a perfect combination of applied- and science-based knowledge of engineering.
Especially in the period of general decline of the glass industry we have aimed to revive the theme "glassmaking trade" in old traditional German perfection in order to compensate the decrease of quality in the trade.

We have the privilege to supply our customers with the best possible glass and we also give the manufacturers the chance of producing to such conditions, that the pricing and the quality meets both sides to their advantage. European glass doesn't have to be more expensive than Chinese, but it is always better in quality. The organisation and assurance of the best possible quality are the most important aspects of our work.

Gert Heider, dipl. Glasingnieur, has worked as an engineering leader, plant manager, leader for product development, and
as an attorney. He is manager of the Duria Crystal GmbH and has more than 30 years of experience and specialist knowledge in the glass and lights industry.

Harry Hambloch himself was 20 years glass blower with Peill and Putzler. He is a master of his field. He was an engineering leader, with Peill+Putzler Glashüttenwerke in Düren and has last worked as a production manager and direktor in a foreign glass factoriy.
